We will discuss how these online resources are designed to be used by our partners and highlight key features for consumers. The presentation will be in Spanish. We will take questions in English and Spanish. Background: Hispanic Americans represent one third of the nation’s uninsured, and often have higher rates of serious disease. Hispanic women are almost twice as likely to die from cervical cancer as non-Hispanic white women, and Hispanic Americans are twice as likely to have diabetes than non-Hispanic whites of similar age. One of the most important accomplishments of the Marketplace is the Health Insurance Marketplace. In October 2013, millions of Americans —individuals, families, and small businesses—will be able to find health insurance that fits their budgets and meets their needs, at the new Health Insurance Marketplace.
